  September thoughts...
I haven't been posting to the blog much, not sure exactly why, certainly have lots to share, I suppose I've just gotten out of the habit... Here's some updates on various stuff...

Nutrition/Fitness/Weight-Loss

- Still on track, I'm down to about 190lbs now, have lost close to 40lbs now, will probably get down to about 170-180...

- I'm now reading Ray Kurzweil's "Fantastic Voyage", very interesting, highly recommended, the basic premise is this book will give you the information you need to live forever... How's that for a payoff??? Like, who wouldn't want to read this??

Religion

- Read a very interesting book last week "What God Wants" by Neale Donald Walsch, I found this to be a really enjoyable read. While I don't agree with everything that Neale does, the book contains some really interesting ideas, asks some great questions about God, about the world's beliefs and offers some compelling 'What If...' type scenarios... I think it's a book that anyone interested in theology, (whether they are Christian, Muslim, Agnostic, Atheist) would enjoy and get something out of... I'd love to discuss some of the concepts with others who have read it.

- Watched Richard Dawkins' Documentary "The Root of All Evil", this is more or less a video version of Sam Harris' The End of Faith. It covers a lot of the same ground, Richard meets with promenant members of a number of fundamentalist religions - Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and goes at them regarding how some of their beliefs clash with science. My buddy Richard told me about this, it was broadcast on CBC, I pulled it down off of Mininova

Name:

I think a lot. Some people say I think too much... However, I don't want to be seen as being aloof or pretentious, it's just that I really enjoy philosophical questions and deep thoughts. That's not to say that I don't find pleasure in more down-to-earth or trivial things, like beer and soccer :) I'm happily married with 3 wonderful children. I'm a partner in a technology services company based in Toronto. Myers Briggs says I'm an ENTJ
